Jin Hai is finally released from jail. He bumps into Guan Cai Lian on the way out. Guan Cai Lian offers to help Jin Hai quit his addiction should he leave Nai Dong. Jin Hai decides to take up Guan Cai Lian's offer. He tells Tian Shui to break the news to Nai Dong. Nai Dong rushes to see Jin Hai, only to find him consuming opium. She leaves in disappointment.

Luo Han Guo expresses interest in Nai Dong, and hopes that Jin Hai does not appear too often in front of Nai Dong. He says a lot of nasty things to Jin Hai. Jin Hai is disappointed.
