Jin Chuan reprimands himself for destroying Jin Hai's examination slip, and causing him to lose the chance to take the examination.

No one is pleased, and all of them bears a grudge towards Da Wan. Da Wan is unhappy about the increase in rent, and deliberately brings home white ants from the workplace. She shows them to Jin Chun, claiming that she caught them at home. This causes an upstir in the quarters.
